It’s finally here, the day all freshmen have been waiting for…the last day of school! After studying for several long, hard weeks, we have finally completed our freshman year of college, and with much success! Over the last year, everyone has grown and changed so much, and now we’re finally ready to settle in as “experienced” college students and show the new freshmen what life at Mines is all about!

 

It’s a bittersweet goodbye for me. I am excited to have the summer to relax and take a break from school, but I am going to miss the amazing times I had my freshman year! I am going to miss my little apartment, and being cramped with all my roommates, having dance parties and baking, but I am excited to move on, and move up! Just as all other freshmen, my roommates and I searched for a house for next year, and we are upgrading from just four roommates to seven! Now nobody will ever get bored! The thing I am going to miss most over the summer is my roommates! We live pretty far away from each other, but we promised that we are going to make plans and stay in touch!

 

I am most excited next year to get more involved in school. I’m going to stay in the organizations I joined this year, and participate in a few more. I’m even going to be a peer mentor, which means that I get to teach a CSM 101 class to freshman!

It has been a great year writing and sharing my experiences with everyone, and I can’t wait to read about the adventures of the incoming freshman! Good luck and have a great time at Mines!
