Finals
I don’t think I’ve ever studied more in my life. I’m sure I’m to blame for most of it; sometimes I did a bit too much slacking and not enough working. But the fact of the matter is that I put in a LOT of time for finals. I’m not the only one, either. It wasn’t uncommon for any student here to spend ten hours straight studying one subject, and most of us spent even longer than that reading or doing problems. I suppose that’s just part of the routine, though. There’s no doubt that we learn loads of material in such a short time, but the best way to realize it is to re-learn most of it in only a few days. That’s the life of the college student, I guess. It’s really not too bad, though, considering we already live and breathe school. This was just a bit more than usual.
One Year
It’s already been one year. I can’t believe how fast it went. I distinctly remember pulling into the one of school’s parking lots, worried about what college life would be like. And here I am now, one year of school later. I’m not even a freshman any more. I’ve met a lot of people and learned a lot of things. It’s crazy to put it all into perspective. I’m hoping that the next three years go as well as this one did, but maybe not as fast. Everyone tells me that these are the best years of my life; it’s unfortunate that they’re going by so quickly. That’s just one of those things, though. As cliché as it is, time flies when you’re having fun. I need to find a way to slow time down when I’m happy, and speed it up when I’m bored. Right now, though, things are a little backwards.
Home
I’m home now, and I’m pretty happy to be back. Right out of the gate I started working again, without even one day in between. I guess that means that I’m growing up; one step closer to being a full-fledged adult. Hopefully it’ll be a while before then, though. Besides; I’ve got next year to look forward to. I’m excited to start a new set of classes and learn some new things. It should be pretty cool. Until then, though, I’ve got plenty to do here. I’ll be teaching tae kwon do, hiking some 14,000 foot mountains, and getting lost in the Colorado wilderness with my friends
You know; usual teenager stuff.

Just a regular guy.

Doin' what I've gotta do.
