PI BETA PHI (𝚷B𝛟)

About

Nationally, Pi Beta Phi is a women’s fraternity that is dedicated to six main values; integrity, lifelong commitment, honor and respect, philanthropic service to others, personal and intellectual growth, and sincere friendship. On campus, we strive to be a safe home-away-from-home for girls who are seeking to better themselves and help the community around them. We are very involved on campus and enjoy seeing our sisters everywhere we go!

Mission Statement: The vision of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women is to be recognized as a premier organization for women by providing lifelong enrichment to its members and contributing to the betterment of society.

deia position statement

Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women lives and promotes life through our core values. Our values-driven membership experience is what makes being a member of Pi Beta Phi so special and unique. The most important value of sincere friendship is essential to our sisterhood. When inviting new members to membership, we look for individuals who exemplify our values of integrity, lifelong commitment, honor and respect, personal and intellectual growth, philanthropic service to others, and sincere friendship. The Colorado Delta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi accepts and celebrates those of all gender identities. Due to rules put in place by Pi Beta Phi Fraternity Headquarters, we are only able to offer membership to those who live and self-identify as women. The Pi Beta Phi website states: “Pi Beta Phi Fraternity does not discriminate in its operations or membership selection practices on the basis of race, religious affiliation, national origin, physical ability or sexual orientation. Nor will Pi Beta Phi tolerate such discrimination by its chapters. Federal law recognizes the right of college social fraternities to maintain single sex membership policies. Pi Beta Phi is a women’s organization for individuals who live and self-identify as women.” To learn more, visit pibetaphi.org.

In order to uphold the Fraternity’s mission related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Fraternity at large and the Colorado Delta chapter have made many changes and implemented various efforts across the past few years. In July of 2021, the Vice President of Inclusion (VPI) and Director of Community Inclusion (DCI) positions were voted on to be implemented at the national level beginning in January 2022. Through the implementation of these positions, DEI programming and education has been increased and improved in order to change the culture of the chapter.
