Arthur Lakes Library is a specialized technical library that supports the educational and research goals of Colorado School of Mines and also serves as a regional center for information in engineering and applied science fields.
Arthur Lakes Library is:
Your place to study and do homework. We have study rooms with computers and quiet areas with comfortable chairs for reading or relaxing. Also plenty of whiteboards. Course materials are on reserve at the Front Desk.
Your place to connect. The Book & Brew Coffee Shop is open seven days a week to fill your caffeine needs, and we host performing arts concerts and other events.
Your place to conduct research. Our reference desk is open Monday through Friday to help you. We offer wireless access and campus and public computer labs. You can access thousands of electronic books, journals, documents and databases.
Your place to find recreational material, including hiking and trail maps available for check out. Plus, you can request movies, music and fiction from local libraries and have it delivered direct to you at the Mines library.
Your place to work. We are one of the largest student employers on campus. We offer flexible hours with weekend and evening shifts, plus interesting work and friendly colleagues.
The library is open more than 90 hours per week during the academic year, serving the information needs of both the Colorado School of Mines community and the general public.
