Tuition Refund Insurance 

Colorado School of Mines has proudly partnered with GradGuard to offer tuition insurance for students.

Mines recognize that unforeseen circumstances may arise during the semester which may cause a student to medically withdraw and lead to financial hardship for the student and their families. Mines Refund Policy is determined based on the date of when the student drop or withdrew from the semester. For more information on Mines tuition refund schedule, please click here.

Tuition Insurance can help refund a student’s semester cost of attendance, up to the policy limit, if the student is unable to complete the semester due to a covered reason by the insurance. This tuition insurance compliments with Mines Refund Policy as it provides the student the possibility to receive tuition reimbursement during the semester for covered withdrawals.

Tuition Insurance is an optional benefit available for students each semester. To learn more about the policy, please visit GradGuard.

How to Purchase

Students and Authorized Users will be presented the opportunity to purchase GradGuard’s tuition insurance on the ‘My Account Page’/Authorized User Portal when they make a tuition payment each semester. The prompt will appear until it has been declined or until Census Day of each semester. 

Tuition Insurance can be purchased at any time until Census Day on GradGuard’s website.
