Skill Building Series
The 3 Week Skill Building Series are innovative workshops created to provide quick and useful tools without overburdening the busy schedules of Mines students. Each workshop is broken up into three sessions, provided once per week in 50-minute slots. Workshops come with materials that will allow you to practice new skills between sessions.
Anxiety Toolbox
Anxiety Toolbox focuses on helping you understand anxiety and build skills to manage these symptoms. The three sessions are divided into content that builds upon itself. The modules are dedicated to (1) understanding anxiety, (2) introducing a method for slowing down and disentangling the experience of anxiety, and (3) developing alternative responses to anxiety. By the end of the workshop, you will have your own individualized plan for managing anxiety.

Engineering College Success
This seminar provides psychoeducation and brain science and offers practical tools and strategies to improve executive functioning skills. The three sessions are divided into content that builds upon itself. The modules are dedicated to (1) supporting self-regulation (2) optimizing our environment and (3) utilizing organization and management tools / strategies. By the end of the seminar, you will have a better understanding of how executive skills impact academic and daily functioning and the ability to establish a formula to support college success.
