Background:  

  • Joan’s position prior to joining Mines on 6/28/18, was as an IT Project Manager with IBM. She worked on projects that included server builds, application and database installs, relocation of data centers, network and storage efforts. 
  • During her time at IBM, Joan led the process improvement team and designed a PM tool that became the interface between clients and project managers for tracking all IT projects. 
  • Certificate: Project Management Professional (PMP®) 

 Mines Successes: 

  • Joan managed the complex OnBase project for document management and workflow which went live 10/28/19. This effort improved the document processes of 15 departments and introduced Mines to a new workflow system. 
  • In September 2020, Joan completed the Mines Mentoring project, the Maxient Software Implementation and the Graduate Slate Integration with Banner projects. She is currently deploying Degree Works, a degree audit tool. 
  • Joan utilizes her TeamDynamix administrator skills to make updates which allow the team to take advantage of the PM functionality of the tool.
