Voter Registration Information
In accordance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, the Colorado School of Mines provides voter registration information to all students.
You are eligible to vote if you:
- will be 18 years of age or older at the time of the next election,
- are a United States citizen,
- have resided in Colorado 22 days immediately before the election at which you intend to vote,
- are not serving a sentence of confinement, detention, or parole for a felony conviction.
Register to vote in Colorado
You may register online, by mail, or in person at any Colorado Driver’s Licence office, any Jefferson County City Clerk’s Office, or the Jefferson County Elections Division.
To register by mail, print and complete the registration form on the Colorado Secretary of State website.

Register to vote in another state
The United States Election Assistance Commission provides registration and voting information for all states. If you are registering to vote in another state, you must request an absentee or mail-in ballot from your state’s election office to receive a ballot.
