Amy Ashford

Amy is the water quality testing manager for the SIF and Cath Research Group located in Coolbaugh Hall. She runs all water quality samples for Ion Chromatography, Total Carbon, and Nitrogen Analysis as well as other standard water quality tests.

Amy graduated with a Bachelors in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from University of Colorado-Boulder.  She also has a Masters in Biology from University of Colorado-Denver and a Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology from Colorado State University.

Prior to taking this position, Amy worked to produce and test fuel-convertible lipids and carbohydrates formed by algae grown with various types of seawater, wastewater and produced water. When not on campus, she enjoys cooking, gardening, running and watching sports.
