Getting High-Tech at Coorstek!

One of the newest buildings on campus, and also LEED Silver, CoorsTek opened in Fall of 2017 and houses the CoorsTek Center for Applied Science and Engineering, a world-class facility that supports a broad range of academic and research activities on the Mines campus as well as serves as a focal point for the CoorsTek-Mines research partnership. 

CoorsTek has some cool design features that reduce thermal heat transfer during the summer like the window “awnings” featured in this picture. What other features do you see as you look at the building?
