Hello, hello! My name is Mariah, and I’m a first-generation college graduate who knows what it’s like to transfer schools and find your footing in college. After completing my degree I spent five years teaching art in the K-12 setting before transitioning to higher education. I love being part of the Mines community because I get to help passionate students navigate their own unique educational paths, just like I did!
1. My favorite art form is Lithography, where you create art with a chemical reaction.
2. I can bind my own books and make my own paper!
3. I have a soft spot for animals. I’ve had goats, chickens, ducks, horses, turkeys, and more.
4. I’ve lived in three states and two countries: Utah, Texas, Colorado and El Salvador.
