Transferring to Mines
Mines partners with community colleges in Colorado to create transfer pathways into engineering and science majors at Mines. Through the Associate of Engineering Science degree, Associate of Science degree or other transfer pathway, you can complete courses required for our core curriculum and sometimes additional approved courses.

*Currently, only Red Rocks Community College (EGT1110) and Front Range Community College (EGG1040) have been approved to offer courses that satisfy the EDS department learning outcomes for this course at Mines.
Mines plans to host faculty workshops to facilitate faculty development at other CCCS institutions to ensure that those courses are satisfactory for transfer to Mines for EDNS151 credit.

Mines offers over 55 areas of study in engineering and science.
Courses listed as Electives in the AES degree (CSC 1061, EGG 2011, EGG 2012, BIO 1111, BIO 1112, CHE 1112, GEY 1111) will be accepted but do not count for core curriculum credit at Mines. They may apply as free elective credit or fulfill degree requirements for certain majors.
AES electives and additional courses that Mines will accept must have a grade of “C” or higher.
